My daughter who had a newborn, not sleeping much and working a stressful full time job.. I prayed that this saying would be helpful to her as I was many miles away… Well, today 3 years later my daughter now has a less stressful job a wonderful 4 year old daughter and could not be happier. I like to think the saying helped her that God knew just what she was going through! Thank you!
What a wonderful post about what had already been my favorite Bible verse for decades! As you pointed out, Thad, this Scripture is really misunderstood and misused, even by many Sunday School teachers and even, sadly, by hoards of pastors. I'm glad you also interjected Jefferson Fisher's astute suggestions into your literary masterpiece! Keep up the awesome, eye-opening studies.
