Mine were my kids...my son and his addiction and my daughter and her illustrious sareer in rowing (an Olympian). God taught me so much through them both...and over the course of years and many "aha!" moments when I thought I'd learned my lesson. When I could finally surrender my son to the Lord and see how completely attached I was to my daughter's career, I was really free. Free to love the Lord completely and to live in His Divine Will only.
